"7 years ago we saw a picture of Perito Moreno glacier as part of a art exhibit by the photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand in Singapore. Since then we decided that we wanted visit this spectacular site. Further research lead us to Argentina. We saw the beauty of Iguazu falls and had to add to our list of places to visit. To celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary we starting looking into visiting South America, specifically Argentina.
We found Exploration Journeys by searching on the web, it was the first site listed for tours and excursions in Argentina. Fred was prompt on his follow-up with us, in fact he created 13 different itineraries before we settled on an exact date.
This was our first trip to South America so we were a bit skeptical on what sort of travel arrangements to make. Working with Fred was very helpful, the level of customer service provided was outstanding.
It was such a relief to visit a foreign country and to know that at every arrival or departure point you had someone you could trust to make the journey smooth. All the guides on the tours were fluent in English so it made it easier to understand the history about each area that we visited.
From the first day in BA, we were in contact with Fred and he even helped us via phone on how to order pizza at the best local restaurant. We were very happy to know that he was just a phone call away for anything we needed. The history of BA and the various neighborhoods is fascinating. We explored many of the shops and restaurants suggested and were pleased. Then tango show at La Ventana was the highlight of BA.
We were amazed by the beauty of Iguazu falls. The boat ride to the 3 falls is a must activity. We spent an extra day in the park and encountered many wildlife (Fish, turtles, caymans, butterflies, monkeys, birds, etc.). The Glacier trek excursion was outstanding, we had a blast hiking on the Perito Moreno glacier. The boardwalks are a great way to admire the true beauty of this glacier. The navigation tour was fun, but a bit long because the Onelli glacier was not accessible. Overall, we had a great time in Argentina visiting the contrasts of the Metropolitan BA, Thundering waterfalls in Iguazu and the calm of Perito Moreno glacier.
